Keisha is a Licensed Resident in Counseling and a Qualified Mental Health Counselor in Virginia. With a military up-bringing, she has been exposed to many multi-faceted cultures. It has been her passion to support, empower, guide, and strengthen individuals and their families for over 20 years.

Keisha provides in-person and online therapy for individuals ages 10 and up, along with couples and families. She serves clients seeking support for: life changes, stress management, self-esteem building, healthy relationship skills. grief/loss, military life, family stress, separation/divorce, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.
Counseling Approach
Keisha blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Reflective Approach and EMDR trauma therapy techniques to support each of her clients. In addition, she can provide specialized sessions using Christian Based Counseling and Industrial Organizational Psychotherapy (for consultations to any managerial professionals) upon request.

Educational Background
Keisha earned Master of the Arts degrees in both Community Counseling and Urban Education from Norfolk State University. She received her B.S. in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University.
Professional Experience
Keisha has been a supportive guide to individuals and colleagues for over 20 years. She brings a broad array of clinical experience from settings including Acute Hospitals, Adult/Adolescent Private Practices, Juvenile Detention Centers, Schools, and Residential Behavioral Health Centers for children and teenagers. She has served as an In-Patient Therapist, Intensive In-Home counselor, a Clinical Supervisor over Mental Health Skill Building, and Program Developer of Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) programs. This variety of settings sharpened her ability to work in diverse conditions and with diverse populations of clientele. Her wealth of experience illustrates her compassionate adaptability in helping everyone from individuals to organizations thrive.

She is also able to see other non-Medicaid clients for a sliding scale, negotiable fee.
