Counseling Intern
Welcome! Therapy is a safe, nonjudgmental space, and I am honored to support you on your journey toward reaching your next life goals. My practice is informed not only by my clinical training but also by my own life experiences, allowing me to bring deep empathy, perspective, and authenticity to our sessions. Rather than focusing on limitations, we will highlight your strengths to ease the weight of anxiety, depression, and grief.
My approach focuses on helping individuals navigate major life transitions, loss, and grief—including the death of a loved one, physical and mental changes in health, oncology/cancer care, retirement, and military deployment. I welcome clients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds, tailoring my approach to your unique experiences. As a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, my eight-session program design helps individuals process unresolved grief by moving through the emotional impact of significant losses or unfulfilling relationships. Being EMDR trained, I work with clients who may benefit from tapping into somatic connections while processing memories.
I value collaborating with and supporting clients to feel heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to meet you where you are as you find meaning in processing difficult experiences. Together, we will identify and implement practical, gentle coping strategies to encourage healing, moving forward, and navigating periods of change. Ready? Contact me.
I am a counseling intern, pursuing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walsh University. I earned my B.A.S. in Health Studies with a minor in Psychology from Siena Heights University. While not in the counseling room, I enjoy staying physically fit and active with brisk walks and various forms of aquatic and land fitness. I also enjoy escaping to Virginia’s national forest. Trips away invite a welcome change in pace that encourages disconnecting from technology, reconnecting to wildlife, and resting under the canopy of trees.
